About Jas
My name is Jasmine (Jas for short) and I am a wellness enthusiast focused on bridging the gap between wanting a healthy life and living a balanced healthy lifestyle! 10 years ago I believed that I was the pillar of health. I worked out almost everyday, excluded red meat and pork from my diet, and tried to limit artificial sugar when I could. When dining out, I would order from the “Skinny” section, believing that low calorie eating was synonymous with healthy eating. Despite the steps I’d taken to be healthy, I found myself dealing with spontaneous stomach pains, migraines, and allergies appearing left and right. First lactose intolerance, then gluten intolerance, then lastly (and certainly the worst) a shellfish allergy. This forced me to stop, retreat, and redefine everything I knew about health wellness. Under direction from my gastroenterologist I had to try the FODMAP diet, systematically cutting out different veggies, fruits, grains and even liquor to understand what was causing my body this pain. Months later, I discovered it wasn’t just one problem, but hundreds! It was the overly acidic diet, the excess chicken, frequently eating out, drinking excessively, unhealthy cooking habits, eating processed foods, late night binging, and the list goes on. Instead of living a truly healthy lifestyle routed in nourishing foods and a balanced routine, I deemed the lifestyle of my friends and family as healthy and mindlessly followed. Now, I make time for my health, I have rediscovered the importance of wellness, and I respect my body’s needs.
Unfortunately, my story isn’t unique, in fact, it’s become quite familiar in our world. Life has become so busy, pulling us in mindless directions, that we struggle to prioritize creating habits that support a healthy lifestyle until we are forced to change. That’s where I come in!
Here I want to guide your retreat from your current habits and help you preemptively schedule time for your health before your illness forces you to. Whether it’s scheduling your meal prep, staying motivated in the gym, or just understanding the mental barriers to help you take the first step, I will provide tips and tricks to help you meet your full potential. Together, let’s retreat from the routine you’re stuck in, and create the healthy lifestyle you deserve!
Xo,
Jas
